San Da is a modern hybrid combat sport originating from China. Originally developed by the Chinese military as an integrated fighting technique, it is now also practiced as a form of self-defence and a martial arts sport. San Da is composed of a combination of traditional Kung Fu, Qin Na Kickboxing and Shuai Jiao, a traditional Chinese form of wrestling. This mixed martial arts style is informed by a combination of kickboxing, wrestling, takedowns, throws, sweeps, kick catches, and elbow and knee strikes.
Although it is originated from and based upon traditional Chinese martial arts practices, such as Wushu and Kung Fu, San Da focuses on developing scientific efficiency and accuracy in every move, in order to achieve maximum impact at execution. Although mainly employed as a form of military training in China, San Da is practiced as a competitive combat sport all over the world
